One-Vehicle MVA on NY 34 Ends Safely with Coordinated Multi-Agency Response

Genoa, NY - Genoa Rescue, Engine 2, Squad 1, and mutual aid partners responded to a reported one-vehicle motor vehicle accident on NY 34 between Myers and Bruton Roads.
Upon arrival, crews confirmed a single vehicle had left the roadway, struck a culvert, and come to rest back on the highway on its wheels. The driver remained inside the vehicle but was not trapped.
King Ferry Fire Department units were returned to service shortly after arrival. Southern Cayuga Instant Aid, Inc. provided patient care, while Genoa crews managed traffic control and scene safety.
The incident was later turned over to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police, with all fire units clearing the scene shortly after.
