Ocala, FL - Ocala Fire Rescue (OFR) responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of West Silver Springs Boulevard and North Pine Avenue at 12:46 P.M. on May 21st. OFR Engine 1, Rescue 1, Tower 1, and Battalion Chief 11 were dispatched to the call.

Crews arrived at the scene to find a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles - a white sedan and a black pickup truck. Crews assessed the scene and identified that the driver and sole occupant of the white sedan was in need of extrication. After stabilizing the sedan, firefighters gained access to the driver via the passenger’s side. The driver was extricated and trauma alerted to the hospital.

None of the pickup truck’s occupants needed transport.

Marion County Fire Rescue and the Ocala Police Department also responded.
