North Shenango Assisted at Working House Fire

ESPYVILLE, PA — April 25th — During a working residential structure fire in Westford, the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department received assistance from the North Shenango Fire Department. Engine 17-2 and Engine 17-1 arrived to find a single-story residence with heavy fire and smoke showing. Within minutes, the main body of fire was contained thanks to the deployment of two handlines and an interior attack by firefighters from Engine 17-2.


While crews stayed on the scene for around two hours to finish overhaul operations and look for any leftover hot spots, command held the incident to the first alarm companies. At the time of the occurrence, no residents were at home. According to fire officials, the fire claimed the lives of one dog and two cats.
