Units on Box 44-05 responded to a reported house fire on Vinell Lane in Hamilton Township at around 11:03 p.m. on April 30. A heavily engaged structure that was thought to be empty was reported by several callers.

After laying around 1,300 feet of supply line from Leafmore Road, Franklin Fire Company Engine 43 arrived at 11:08 p.m., according to officials. A two-story wood-frame single-family home with fire on every floor and in the basement was discovered by firefighters.

Firefighters were evacuated after the building displayed indications of potential collapse, despite the fact that they had first started an internal fire attack. Although handline suppression efforts persisted, Ladder 42 began ladder pipe operations. Deputy Olson oversaw command activities, and troops were released in about an hour.

The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal's Office arrived to look into what started the fire.
