Honoring the Fallen and Standing in Solidarity with the Fire Service Family

Thomaston, ME - Thomaston Fire & EMS responded in mutual aid alongside departments from across multiple counties to a major structure fire in Searsmont that resulted in multiple firefighter injuries and the tragic loss of a brother in the line of duty.


In the days following the incident, members of Thomaston Fire & EMS had the honor of participating in a solemn tribute procession, standing by with their ladder truck in support of the Morrill Firefighter Cross honoring the fallen firefighter.


The department extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and fellow members of the affected department, and continues to keep all injured firefighters in their thoughts during their recovery. This tragic event has underscored the strength of the fire service family, with unity and support extending far beyond town lines.


Thomaston Fire & EMS stands in solidarity with all fire service members impacted by this loss and reaffirms its commitment to honoring the sacrifice made in service to others.
