Brewer, ME - Brewer Fire Department C-Crew responded to the 500 block of South Main Street for a reported building fire. On arrival, crews encountered heavy fire showing from the rear of the structure.

An aggressive initial attack was immediately launched, with firefighters quickly bringing the fire under control. Once knockdown was achieved, units remained on scene to complete extensive overhaul operations and search for any remaining hot spots to prevent rekindle.

No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. The department also expressed appreciation to mutual aid partners for their prompt and valuable assistance on scene.
