Old Saybrook, CT - Old Saybrook Fire Department crews, along with police and the Fire Marshal, responded to a reported dumpster fire at a building under construction on Spencer Plain Road.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the fire had extended enough to impact the exterior of the structure, causing siding to melt due to the heat. Crews quickly worked to extinguish the fire and check for any extension into the building.

Thanks to a rapid and coordinated response, the fire was contained to the dumpster area, with no further spread into the structure
