Old Saybrook, CT - Old Saybrook Fire Department crews responded to a reported woods fire in a difficult-to-access area off Brenda Lane. Due to the remote location and limited access for standard apparatus, firefighters deployed the department’s off-road brush unit to reach the scene.

Additional support was provided through mutual aid, with ARVs from Saybrook and Essex assisting in the operation.

Crews worked efficiently to establish access, contain the fire, and prevent further spread through the surrounding wooded area.

Thanks to a coordinated effort and quick action, the fire was brought under control without incident
