Baldwin Firefighters Quickly Control Chimney Fire

The Baldwin Volunteer Fire Company responded to an in-district structure fire on May 1st at around 8:51 p.m.


According to officials, when workers arrived with Engine 231, they discovered a chimney fire and swiftly contained it. While responding, the Southport and Elmira Heights fire departments were canceled. Additionally, Lockwood Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene.


Baldwin personnel stayed on the scene until around eleven o'clock at night.
