Durham, ME - Durham Fire & Rescue responded alongside the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office to a single-vehicle rollover accident involving a car that struck a utility pole on Newell Brook Road.

Emergency crews arrived to find the vehicle heavily damaged after the impact caused it to overturn. Fortunately, the occupant escaped the crash without any reported injuries.

The roadway remained partially closed for a period of time as Central Maine Power evaluated the damage to the utility pole and coordinated repair efforts. Officials thanked residents and motorists for their patience during the response and cleanup operation.

First responders also used the incident as an important reminder that wearing seatbelts can make a life-saving difference in serious crashes.
