KENDUSKEAG, ME — April 16th — While several departments responded to a building fire in Levant, the Kenduskeag Fire-Rescue provided station coverage and water supply operations. During the active event, workers helped maintain emergency coverage and support fireground operations, according to department officials. While local departments stay dedicated to major catastrophes, mutual aid actions like station coverage help guarantee that neighboring areas continue to get fire and EMS protection.

During structural fires, rural departments frequently rely on tanker operations and regional collaboration, particularly in areas with restricted access to hydrants, according to fire service chiefs. Responding agencies' cooperation was praised by officials for sustaining operations and emergency coverage during the disaster.
