On April 29, 2025, at 10:37 PM, the Clifton Park Fire Department, Boght Fire Department along with Clifton Park Emergency Medical Services was dispatched to the Twin Lake Apartments complex at 96 Overlook Pass for a reported apartment fire. The New York State Police, Saratoga County Sheriff's Office, and Clifton Park Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene and notify the dispatcher that they had a working structure fire with multiple people trapped and told the dispatcher that they were making rescues. The EMS Supervisor on scene 1971 requested a second ambulance to the scene. As Police units were assisting getting people out of the house the EMS supervisor notified the first due piece of apparatus that they need a ladder for a victim on the second floor that is trapped. Heavy smoke was pushing from the apartment with a significant amount of heat. Police and EMS on scene made entry to the fire apartment and was able to successfully rescue one person from the apartment. EMS command notified the dispatcher that they had two victims on scene with smoke inhalation.

Car nineteen arrived on scene and immediately transmitted the second alarm requesting the Hillcrest Fire Department, Halfmoon-Waterford Fire Department, West Crescent Fire Department, and Visher Ferry Fire Department to the scene. The first due truck company arrived on scene and firefighters deployed an inch and three-quarter hand line and made an aggressive push inside of the apartment that had the heavy fire condition. Firefighters from additional engine companies and rescue companies began to arrive on scene and began to ladder the building and search the apartments above the fire. As they were doing so the ceiling above them in the main area began to bubble and melt from the extreme heat from the apartment fire. Firefighters in the rear of the building took out the sliding glass doors to ventilate the apartment. Firefighters checked above the fire floor and discovered a few pets inside of the building and brought them outside successfully. Command requested the Round Lake Fire Department to the scene as firefighters from the original fast team went to work on the fire grounds and the Jonesville Fire Department with their rehab team.

In the apartments above the fire floor the apartments were heavily charged with smoke, and firefighters had a significant amount of heat and command requested ventilation fans to be utilized to clear the smoke from the apartments above but before they did so to check for any type of fire extension. After checking the apartments above the fire floor, firefighters notified command that they did not have any extension just as significant condition with a significant amount of heat. Firefighters on the roof conducted ventilation as they had a light amount of heat and smoke in the attic area but no fire. Fire investigators began to arrive on scene and made their way inside and began to conduct their investigation into what caused the fire.

Firefighters inside of the main fire apartment conducted extensive overhaul to make sure that there was no further extension into the apartment above. The two victims that were pulled from the building were evaluated by EMS and not transported. No injuries were reported. Fire investigators have not released the determination on the cause of the fire. Due to the quick actions of the members on scene from the Clifton Park Emergency Medical Services, New York State Police and Saratoga County Sheriff's Office they were successfully able to rescue and get all of the occupants out of the structure if they had not acted quickly there could’ve been injuries on scene.
