Structure Fire in Norwalk

Norwalk, CT - The Norwalk Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 6 Watson Ct. Saturday evening, May 16th at 6 pm. The fire in the single family split level home gutted the kitchen and caused heat and smoke damage throughout the second floor of the residence. Upon arrival, firefighters were able to knock the fire down in several minutes, then worked to ensure no fire extended beyond the cabinets into the walls or attic.

The occupants, a husband, wife and their adult son, with their dog were all outside when firefighters arrived. Their home was posted unfit for occupancy, as Fire Inspector Luca Feola investigates the cause of the fire. The occupants made other living arrangements, for the evening. 3 Engines, 2 Trucks a rescue and Command Car, brought 25 Firefighters to the scene.
