Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Held for New Vails Gate Firehouse

VAILS GATE, NY - On Saturday, May 18th, the Vails Gate Fire Department held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new firehouse.


The New Windsor Supervisor and President of the Vails Gate Fire Department welcomed everyone to the ceremony. An opening prayer was offered by the department chaplain. The flag was raised, and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.


Stephen thanked all the members who helped plan the building. The Chief of the Department explained that the taxpayers came through and voted in favor of the new facility. As the American flag was raised, the ribbon was cut.


Senator James Skoufis said a few words about the dedication of the members who respond to calls and expressed his admiration for the new firehouse.


Afterward, residents went inside and took a tour of the new firehouse. Children were treated to juice, cookies, and plastic fire hats.
