Celebration-Driven Alarm Brings Fire Crews Into Championship Moment at Veterans Memorial Arena

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Binghamton, NY - Squad and tower crews, along with the Duty Chief, were dispatched to a commercial fire alarm activation at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena shortly after the Black Bears secured their championship victory.

Upon arrival, responders determined the alarm was triggered by post-victory celebrations rather than any emergency condition. The situation required no further action, and crews were able to stand down. In an unexpected turn, members of the responding units had the opportunity to take photos with the Commissioners Cup and meet several Black Bears players following the win.

Although some personnel missed attending the game due to their shift duties, the call provided an unplanned but memorable way to be part of the championship atmosphere. The Black Bears were once again congratulated on their impressive achievement and another successful championship season.
