Hopkinton Barn fire spreads to surrounding brush and fields

Hopkinton, NH April 21-2025. A structure fire that destroyed a large barn on Chase Farm Road spread to fields and brush as firefighters scrambled to contain a fast moving fire. A call at around 1500 hours came in for a "shed fire" with exposure's to a house. Automatic mutual aid was dispatched along with the Hopkinton Fire Department to 100 Chase Farm Road Monday afternoon. Hopkinton Fire Chief Jeff Yale arrived to find a large two and half story garage or barn type structure fully involved with embers causing the field in the rear of the property on fire. A Second Alarm and then a Third Alarm was called including numerous brush trucks and tankers. The fire was contained in a few hours and the fire is under investigation.
