NEWBURY, MA — May 1st — As part of a mutual aid assignment, members of Group 3 of Salisbury Firefighters Local 4694 responded to a reported structure fire in Newbury. During the incident, Salisbury firefighters helped units on the scene with support assignments, overhaul operations, and suppression efforts. In order to sustain personnel, equipment coverage, and operational assistance during working fires and prolonged situations, mutual aid responses across departments throughout the region are still crucial.

Coordinated training and regional collaboration, according to fire authorities, enable units to handle situations more skillfully while maintaining coverage for nearby communities. During the response, no Salisbury staff injuries were reported.
