Crash Into Gas Meter Prompts Rapid Rescue and Safety Measures in Brighton Township

Beaver, PA - The Brighton Township Volunteer Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident involving injuries and a struck gas meter along the 5700 block of Tuscarawas Road.


Arriving quickly, crews extricated the patient and initiated medical care until EMS personnel assumed treatment. Firefighters secured the damaged gas meter and shut down service to prevent further gas release.


As a precaution, surrounding homes were checked with gas monitoring equipment to ensure the safety of residents.


Units remained on scene to assist with roadway closure and hazard mitigation until the vehicle was removed and the gas company arrived.


Assistance from Brighton Township Police and Medic Rescue Ambulance Service supported operations throughout the incident.
