Quick Extinguishment in Maywood

Maywood, NJ - On May 12th at approximately 01:36 am, Maywood Fire Department received multiple calls for a structure fire at 120 Prospect Ave. First arriving Chief confirmed visible smoke and fire from the B/C side of the 2 ½ story private dwelling and requested a working fire assignment. Maywood Truck 17 was tasked with forcing entry to the home and perform primary searches while Maywood Engine 18 established a water supply and deployed hose lines to the fire. Working fire assignment brought in Hackensack Ladder 1 for a fast team, Engine and Rescue from Rochelle Park. Truck 17 reported a fire in the living room of the home, two lines stretched and one operating. Primary and secondary searches were negative. Fire was soon deemed under control within minutes. Mutual aid coverage was provided by River Edge, Saddle Brook, and Paramus.
