Winona Lake FD responded to a garbage truck fire on rear entrance road of Newburgh Mall near Meadow Hill Road on May 9th. FD arrived and garbage was on roadway smoking. Firefighters used hand line and hand tools to pull garbage apart looking for the source of the fire. Town/Newburgh Police blocked the roadway while firefighters were operating at the scene. Firefighters stayed at scene untill the smoke and pulled items from the pile. Garbage truck office notified of the clean up.
