Strong Mutual Aid Response Contains 3.5-Acre Brush Fire

Pomfret, VT - Pomfret-Teago Volunteer Fire Department responded as mutual aid to Bridgewater for a reported brush fire, joining multiple assisting agencies on scene.


Crews worked in coordination with Bridgewater, Barnard, Killington, Woodstock, and Plymouth fire departments to contain the incident.


Firefighters successfully stopped the spread, limiting the fire to approximately 3.5 acres.


The coordinated effort highlighted strong regional cooperation and effective wildfire suppression across mutual aid partners.
