MILFORD, CT - The Milford Fire Department responded to a basement fire at a house on Milford Hunt Lane, May 4th. When Engine 7 arrived first, they saw smoke rising from the building. The homeowner confirmed that everyone had safely evacuated the home, and that there was a fire in the basement. After advancing a hose line through the garage, the fire was discovered in what looked to be a utility closet. While more units conducted main searches and positioned ladders throughout the house during operations, the fire was quickly put out. There were no known injuries.
