Mutual Aid Requested During Naugatuck Fire Response

NAUGATUCK, CT — April 18th — After workers were initially sent to a car accident involving the Family Dollar store on Bridge Street along with police and emergency medical services, the Naugatuck Fire Department responded to other occurrences. Firefighters responded to a 911 call about a shed fire behind 19 West Hill Terrace while they were on the scene.


When crews arrived, they discovered a completely destroyed shed with flames spreading to a rear deck, another shed, and the outside of a neighboring house. Beacon Hose Co. No. 1 was asked for mutual aid assistance, and the Maple Street station was covered by the Prospect Volunteer Fire Department. There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is being looked into by the Fire Marshal's Office.
