At a major brush fire near Ames Road on April 24, the Wilbraham Fire Department helped the Hampden Fire Department. In an active brush fire, crews responded as part of the mutual aid effort to help confine the fire. The Wilbraham Regional Emergency Communications Center was used to organize the situation.
