Andover Fire Rescue Quickly Controls Basement Fire

The Andover Fire Rescue responded to a suspected basement fire at a home on Ferndale Avenue on June 7.


Firefighters were called at around six in the morning, according to officials, and when they arrived, smoke was coming from the big house. Before it could spread to other parts of the building, crews swiftly discovered and put out a minor fire in the basement.


Firefighters stayed on the scene to make sure the fire was completely put out and to look for any concealed extensions. During the event, no injuries were recorded.
