Englewood Cliffs, NJ - Members of the Englewood Cliffs Fire Department, serving as part of the East Bergen Rappel and High Angle Rescue Team, responded to State Line Lookout in Alpine following reports of a person who had gone over the cliff.

Technical rescue specialists carried out a coordinated rescue and recovery operation, which was completed later that morning.

The East Bergen Rappel and High Angle Rescue Team is made up of highly trained personnel from Closter EMS, Cliffside Park Fire Department, Edgewater Fire Department, Englewood Cliffs Fire Department, Fairview Fire Department, Fort Lee Fire Department, and Ridgefield Fire Department.
