GREENSBURG, PA. — May 5th — Six members of the Department Carbon Volunteer Fire Department's Salvage and Service section responded to a working house fire in Adamsburg's first-due area. While firefighters worked to check for hidden fire extension and finish suppression efforts, crews arrived on the scene and helped with overhaul operations.
Before units were freed from the scene, personnel cleared debris, opened walls and ceilings, and kept an eye out for any hot spots that might still be there. Throughout the crisis, mutual assistance organizations collaborated to support fireground operations and uphold scene safety. The response, according to department officials, showed ongoing regional collaboration between nearby departments during working structure fire events.
