Driver Airlifted After Serious Crash in Bergen

BERGEN, NY - The Bergen Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle collision with ejection at Pocock Road and Townline Road on April 6th. According to early reports, there was a baby inside the car. Before personnel could arrive, the child was taken away by a nearby bystander. The child was assessed and found to be in good health. Responders attested to the driver's severe injuries and ejection. After receiving on-site care, the patient was transported by helicopter to Strong Memorial Hospital. The Churchville Volunteer Fire Department served the district, and the LeRoy Fire Department provided mutual aid.
