Pittsburgh, PA - Firefighters responded to a reported residential fire in the Lincoln Place neighborhood, bringing the situation under control before it could spread beyond the room of origin.
Crews arrived to find a one-alarm fire confined to a bedroom and quickly extinguished the flames, preventing further damage to the home.
An adult occupant was able to escape, sustaining minor injuries to her fingers along with smoke inhalation. She was transported to a hospital in stable condition.
One cat died as a result of the fire.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation by fire officials.
