Fully Involved Camper Fire Spreads to Nearby Structures, Crews Contain Blaze in Troy

Troy, VT - Firefighters from the Troy Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported camper fire at a residence on Loop Road, arriving to find a 40-foot camper fully engulfed, with flames spreading to nearby woods, trees, and a house trailer.


Recognizing the rapidly escalating conditions, command requested mutual aid from the Lowell Fire Department and Jay Fire Department to assist with suppression efforts.


Crews worked quickly to knock down the fire in the house trailer and prevent further extension to surrounding exposures.


Through coordinated efforts, firefighters were able to bring the situation under control and limit additional damage.


Newport Ambulance stood by on scene to provide medical support. The incident highlighted strong mutual aid cooperation in managing a fast-moving multi-structure fire.
