Just before three in the morning on April 10, the Penn Hills No. 7 Volunteer Fire Company arrived at the 6200 block of Saltsburg Road in response to a single-vehicle collision involving a utility pole.
When police came, they saw that the route was blocked by the pole and the cables. The motorist was contacted by rescue personnel, but he refused medical attention. While the road was closed, crews managed fluid and debris cleanup and helped with traffic control.
In order to secure dangers and preserve scene safety, utility pole occurrences necessitate coordination with responders. Before going back into service, units ran for around forty-five minutes.
