Explosion with Burn Victim on Gardnertown Rd. in Newburgh

NEWBURGH, NY - Cronomer Valley FD responded to report of a Structure fire with explosion inside 260 Gardnertown Road on April 30. Town/Newburgh Police were first at scene--Cronomer Valley Command requested Good Will FD Plattekill FD to scene--Middlehope FD stand by in CVFD quarters. One line stretched secondary fire smoke inside residence.Command request EMS for burn victim-Town/Newburgh EMS transported victim to Montefiore-St Lukes Hospital-later transferred to burn unit at Westchester Medical Center-Cronomer Command requested Town/Newburgh Building Inspector to scene-structural damage due to explosion also requested Orange County Fire Investigator- Deputy Orange County Fire Coordinator 36-13 was at scene-Fire Investigators from County 36-108-36-109 were also at scene.
