Gardner, MA — April 10th — Truck 5, Truck 10, and C1 were dispatched to Hubbardston by the Gardner Fire Department, located at 70 City Hall Ave., Gardner, MA, USA, 01440, in response to a reported brush fire. In order to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to adjacent wooded areas and structures, crews helped with suppression efforts.
Due to dry fuels, wind, and shifting weather, brush fires are frequent in the spring and frequently necessitate mutual aid for sufficient personnel and equipment. In off-road regions, operations usually involve the use of brush trucks, hand equipment, and coordinated hose line deployment. In order to lower the chance of a fire throughout the season, officials advised locals to be cautious when burning outside and to abide by local laws.
