Members of the Attleboro Fire Department arrived at 5 Bishop Avenue at around 1:27 p.m. on June 8th in response to a complaint of a car fire with several explosions close to a home.

When firemen arrived, they saw a construction pickup vehicle parked near a house that was deeply burned in the fire. The home's vinyl siding has already started to melt due to the extreme heat, according to officials. In order to stop the fire from spreading to the structure, crews started an aggressive attack right away and contained it in about ten minutes.

Firefighters found several compressed gas cylinders inside the truck during overhaul operations, which had burst during the fire and caused the explosions witnesses had reported. There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the department's Fire Investigation Unit and is not considered suspicious. The Attleboro Building Department also responded to evaluate damage to the residence.
