On April 12, shortly before 10:30 p.m., the South Deerfield Fire District responded to a single-car collision on South Main Street close to the Polish American Citizens' Club.
When the crews arrived, they discovered a car crashed into a utility pole. In addition to helping the Deerfield Police Department and South County EMS, firefighters guarded the area.
There were no reported injuries. Utility pole-related incidents frequently need for coordination with utility providers and site safety precautions.
After making sure the area was secure, units left.
