Vergennes, VT - Vergennes Fire Department assisted Middlebury Fire Department on a large brush fire, deploying multiple resources including a department UTV, a member’s UTV, and 10 personnel to the scene, with additional staffing maintained at the station.

Crews worked alongside mutual aid partners to support suppression efforts, demonstrating the effectiveness of coordinated regional response during high-risk incidents.

Officials also remind the public to avoid open burning during periods of elevated fire danger and to consult their local Fire Warden before conducting any outdoor burning.
