Lisbon, ME - Lisbon Fire Department responded on mutual aid to a reported structure fire with injuries on River Road in Brunswick, operating in an area outside the municipal hydrant district.

Tender 2 and Car 501 were dispatched, with crews assisting in fire suppression while establishing a reliable water supply. Tender 2 set up a dump tank and delivered approximately 1,800 gallons of water, while Engine 1 was assigned to secure a supply from a nearby dry hydrant.

After encountering issues with the dry hydrant, crews adapted by deploying a floating strainer with hard suction, successfully maintaining a continuous water flow and supporting multiple tanker operations throughout the incident.

The coordinated effort ensured effective fireground operations despite initial challenges, demonstrating strong adaptability and teamwork in a rural water supply environment.
