Berkley Firefighters Assist in Mutual Aid Response to Freetown Structure Fire

Berkley, MA - On 28 April 2026 at approximately 1:50 a.m., Berkley Fire and Rescue deployed Engine 1 and Car 1 on a mutual aid assignment to the Town of Freetown Fire Department for a reported structure fire on Water Street.


Upon arrival, Berkley personnel were assigned to provide manpower and worked alongside multiple responding agencies to bring the fire under control. Crews remained on scene for nearly three hours, assisting with fire suppression efforts and overhaul operations before clearing the incident.
