Mutual Aid Crews Stop Bergenfield House Fire from Worsening

Dumont, NJ - While returning from an alarm activation on West Madison, west side companies were redirected to assist on a reported house fire in Bergenfield. Engine 5 and Chief 211 responded as part of the mutual aid assignment.
Upon arrival on Tulip Street, crews encountered a fire in the rear of a home that had already extended to a neighboring residence.
Dumont and Bergenfield firefighters worked together to quickly knock down the flames and contain the spread.
Their coordinated efforts limited damage to the interiors of both homes, preventing a more significant loss.
