Ashland Crews Respond to Fully Involved House Fire

On April 26, at around 10:28 p.m., the Ashland Fire Department responded to a house fire on Blue Jay Lane.


When personnel arrived, they saw that the structure was completely engulfed and sent out a second alarm to call in more help. No injuries were recorded, and the occupant had left the house before they arrived.


With assistance from allies in mutual aid, firefighters worked to contain the fire. Second-alarm responses provide fighting fires more personnel and equipment for longer operations.


The State Fire Marshal's Office is still investigating the incident.
