Mutual Aid Coverage Supports Belfast Crews at Structure Fire

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Morrill, ME — March 27th — While Belfast Fire Department units were fighting a structure fire, the Morrill Volunteer Fire Department was asked to cover the station. Throughout the incident, Morrill workers manned the station and were available for further calls. A crucial component of mutual aid is station coverage, which keeps communities safe when local resources are allocated. Morrill staff remained prepared for any secondary emergencies as Belfast units worked on the fireground.

In Waldo County, where agencies collaborate to support operations and uphold service standards, such covering assignments are typical. Until Belfast staff were available to resume service, morrill units remained in place.
