Belfast, ME — April 13th — A utility pole fire on Condon Street between Union and Bayview was reported to the Belfast Fire and EMS, located at 273 Main Street. While Central Maine Power employees dealt with the damaged pole, firefighters guarded the area and evaluated potential threats. While utility technicians worked to isolate the power source and start repairs, firefighters maintained a perimeter and kept an eye on circumstances as operations concentrated on scene safety.

While workers attempted to restore service, there were reports of brief outages in the surrounding region. The situation was resolved without further delay, and no casualties were reported. In order to ensure safe operations and effective restoration efforts, the reaction represents customary collaboration between utility and fire services during electrical emergencies.
