Pittsburgh, PA- Cherry City Volunteer Fire Company units responded to a reported hillside fire in the area of Old Soose and Jordan Lane.

The first-arriving engine found an active brush fire and deployed a bumper line to quickly contain and extinguish the flames.

Assisting crews supported overhaul operations and addressed remaining hot spots to prevent rekindle.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
