Mutual Aid Supports Fireground and Investigation Efforts

Belfast, ME — March 27th — Following a fire occurrence in the city, the Belfast Fire and EMS, located at 273 Main Street, reported a coordinated multi-agency response. The Belfast Police Department, Central Maine Power, Morrill Volunteer Fire Department, Maine State Fire Marshal's Office, and Waldo County Regional Communications Center were among the supporting organizations. While assisting investigators in documenting the incident, crews worked to contain the fire.


In order to enable fire marshal personnel to start identifying the cause, fire suppression efforts were conducted with consideration for the preservation of evidence. The incident highlights the value of interagency cooperation by demonstrating the regular collaboration between fire, law enforcement, utilities, and dispatch.
