LITTLETON, NH - On April 24th, Littleton Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at Newton’s Mobile Home Park, initially reported as fully involved with occupants inside.
Crews arrived to find most of the fire already knocked down, with only minor extension into the structure, and quickly scaled the incident back. A neighbor alerted the sleeping resident and used a fire extinguisher to control the flames, preventing further damage.
Firefighters completed extinguishment and checks; no injuries were reported. The fire was caused by a lithium-ion battery jump starter, and officials noted the home lacked working smoke detectors, which were replaced.
