New London, NH - New London Fire Department’s Ladder 3 responded on a mutual aid assignment to Springfield for a reported machinery fire at the Durgin & Crowell Pellet Mill.

Upon arrival, crews integrated into ongoing fireground operations and assisted with suppression efforts to control the fire within the industrial equipment. Firefighters also carried out overhaul operations to ensure complete extinguishment and address any remaining hot spots.

The coordinated response helped bring the incident under control, and Ladder 3 remained on scene until released before returning to service.
