Mutual Aid Crews Help Halt Fast-Moving Brush Fire Along I-91
Bernardston, MA - Firefighters responded on a mutual aid assignment to assist with a rapidly spreading brush fire, initially reported near railroad tracks before extending toward Interstate 91.
Upon arrival, crews were redirected to the highway where the fire was advancing quickly. Firefighters deployed a hose line, successfully getting ahead of the fire’s progression and containing a critical ?????? of the blaze.
Additional units assisted with suppression efforts and overhaul operations, while also supporting water supply for crews operating along the interstate.
Through coordinated efforts among multiple agencies, the fire was brought under control, and assisting units were later released after completing their assignments.
