Rotary Club of Lake Mary Honors Seminole County Fire Fighter with First Responder Community Excellence Award

Seminole County Fire Department (SCFD) Firefighter/Paramedic and Winter Springs resident Chris Torres was recently honored by The Rotary Club of Lake Mary for its First Responder Community Excellence Award.

-Nominated by Battalion Chief Jason Moore

-Served Seminole County as a firefighter since 2012 and grew up in Seminole County since the age of 9

-Torres has received four Life Saving Awards and a Distinguished Service Medal

-Works at Station 12, C Shift in City of Altamonte & part of SCFD's Special Hazards & Operations Team (SHOT)

-Torres says he is proud to be a public servant and give back to his community. He is inspired to do so by his late father Luis Torres who proudly served as a police officer at the Altamonte Springs Police Department
