Bridgewater, PA — March 28th — Nine firemen from the Bridgewater VFD-Engine Co. 28, located at 619 Market Street, responded to a working home fire in New Brighton with Engine 28 and Squad 28. Crews helped with traffic control, staging, overhaul, and suppression. Engine 28 moved to the New Brighton station to cover the city as more calls came in, including a brush fire.
Members helped clean up hoses and reset equipment for returning units while they were on standby. After responding to a reported kitchen fire in Rochester, Engine 28 was brought back once the situation was under control. The coordinated mutual help system in place throughout Beaver County is reflected in the reaction.
