On April 8, Company 5 of the Alpha Fire Company responded to a building fire in the 300 block of Science Drive on the Penn State University Park campus using mutual assistance units.

As soon as they arrived, workers worked to contain the fire and started looking for an expansion in the affected room. To make sure the fire had not spread past its source, firefighters carried out overhaul operations.

During the occurrence, no public hazard was reported. Lieutenant C. White was in charge of the operations.
